As September approaches, the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District is reaffirming its commitment to student safety and emotional well-being during National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
Each year on August 31, communities across the globe observe International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD)—a day dedicated to raising awareness about overdose, reducing the stigma surrounding drug-related deaths, and honoring the memories of those we have lost.
The student transfer window to transfer a child from one high school to another high school in the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District will open on November 1, 2024, and run through December 6, 2024. This applies for students in high school only.
This school year (2023-2024), MPUSD has doubled down on its reading efforts launching a “Reading is Key” literacy initiative focused on helping students achieve fluency in phonics to reach its reading goal.
