CCHS: Community School

Welcome to Our Community School
We’re so happy you’re here! This page highlights the people, programs, and partnerships that make Central Coast High School our community school.

What is a Community School?

At Central Coast High School, our community school is a place where students, families, staff, and community partners work together so every student has what they need to succeed. When every student feels seen and welcomed, learning becomes possible, potential expands, and equity becomes something we live, not just talk about.

Below you’ll find links that show how CCHS brings our community school vision to life through our goals, playbook, calendar, and resource hub. You’ll also find district links that connect our school’s work to the larger MPUSD Community Schools strategy.

What's Happening at CCHS

At CCHS, student voice drives our community school. Our Student Power Summit brings that vision to life by creating a space where students share their stories, showcase their work, and shape the future of our school. Through student-led presentations, films, podcasts, and conversations, the Summit highlights what belonging feels like from their perspective and what supports make the biggest difference.

It’s a celebration of student leadership and a reminder that when students lead the way, schools become places where purpose, connection, and opportunity thrive. Want to join us? RSVP here: https://bit.ly/ShiftTheStory

Youth Power Summit
Shine and Show

Our Shine & Show event highlighted the skills our Auto Detailing students have built over the past weeks. Students detailed vehicles for the community and showcased their work with confidence and professionalism. To support their next steps, we raffled off professional tools and supplies that students can use to start or grow their own auto detailing businesses. It was a great celebration of skill, pride, and opportunity at CCHS.

Stories of Belonging
Behind every opportunity at CCHS is a student story that shows what’s possible when support and connection come together. Our latest video features one of our students sharing how the programs at Central Coast have opened doors, built confidence, and helped them see new pathways for their future. Their perspective is a reminder that when students are given real opportunities and meaningful support, they don’t just participate; they thrive.

Watch this 30-second clip to hear one student’s perspective on how opportunities at CCHS have helped him build confidence and discover new pathways for his future.

Equine Therapy with Wonder Wood Ranch

Our students participate in Equine Therapy as part of our work to build a school where students feel grounded, supported, and connected. Working with horses helps students practice emotional regulation, confidence, and trust, which deepens the sense of belonging we are creating at CCHS.
