Appointment of Dr. Diane Fitzpatrick as principal

Central Coast High School Community,

At the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, we believe strongly that one of the MPUSD tenets, leadership as the lever, creates the conditions for students and staff to thrive.

We are pleased to share that the Board of Education appointed Dr. Diane Fitzpatrick this evening as the principal of Central Coast High School beginning in the 2023-2024 school year.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Fitzpatrick to the MPUSD team. She has extensive experience in instructional leadership and literacy, and has a passion for serving students in an alternative school setting. She comes to MPUSD from Mount Diablo Unified School District, where she has served as vice principal of Oak Grove Middle School. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Texas, and her doctorate in Virginia. She will begin engaging with staff, students and families at Central Coast High School soon.

Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Dr. Fitzpatrick to MPUSD and Central Coast High School.
